Sailcloth Tents Are Here!

We have exciting news that we can’t wait to share – Liberty Party Rental now carries Sailcloth Tents!

While the classic lines of Frame Tents will always have their place, Sailcloth Tents are currently in demand! We’re so excited to be the first local rental company to provide these gorgeous tents to Nashville and the Middle Tennessee market!

See below for more information and enjoy photos of these stunning Sailcloth Tent installs courtesy of our sister store, Skyline Tent Company.

What are Sailcloth Tents?

Sailcloth Tents are fabricated with sheer translucent vinyl material making them strong and able to withstand the elements. They diffuse natural sunlight and glow in the evening as warm light emanates from inside.

What size tents are available?

We have a 44’ and 59’ Sailcloth Tent available to rent mid-March! The great thing about these tents is they can be staked in various layouts to accommodate the size of your event. The 44’ Sailcloth Tent can be installed as a 44’ round up to a 44’ x 104’. The 59’ Sailcloth Tent is a twin pole system that has five different configurations – from a 59’ x 39’ to a 59’ x 99’. Make sure to contact one of our account managers who can help you determine which size tent is right for your needs.

What event style best fits having a Sailcloth Tent?

The swooping lines of Sailcloth Tents, along with their signature pennant flags, provide a fun yet sophisticated tone to your event. Whether it’s day or night, these inviting tents will complement your décor and add their own special touch to your overall design that will leave your guests in awe.

How do Sailcloth Tents differ from regular event tents?

Sailcloth Tents differ from our Pole and Frame Tents which are made of a thick blockout vinyl material and look more industrial with a glossy finish.

Aren’t these Sailcloth Tents breathtaking?

Reminder: Tenting does sell out during peak times of year and when inclement weather is in the forecast. Book tenting early to ensure your guests stay comfortable!

Give us a call at 615.822.4392 to reserve one of our Sailcloth Tents for your next event!

Featured Vendor: Petals & Fields

Lush florals and greenery and hanging installations, oh my! We can all agree that one of the best (and prettiest) parts about planning your wedding is floral design. With so many options available and trends making their way into the wedding world, it can be hard to decide what will look best on your big day. That’s why we recently got together with Alina White, owner of Petals & Fields, to learn more about her floral business and gather a few noteworthy tips for brides and grooms planning their upcoming wedding. Enjoy the photos of her beautiful work below!

Photo: Emily Anne Photo Art

Tell us a little bit about yourself and your company.

My name is Alina White. I am 1 of 9 children (I’m the 9th one to be exact). In 2006 my family purchased a flower shop in Grankte Bay, CA that was 35 years old and it is still up and running! My love for gardening and flowers began to grow more and more since I was around so many flowers and not to mention, our huge garden at home. In 2014 I moved to Nashville. A few years later, I met my husband Seth and we got married in 2016. That same year we opened our wedding business, Petals & Fields. It’s been a fun few years so far!

What is your favorite thing about designing wedding florals?

My favorite thing about florals is being able to be inspired and interpret that inspiration through what nature brings.

Where do you look for inspiration?

Quiet nature walks, family, songwriting and fashion.

What are some exciting floral trends we can expect to see in 2019?

Designs and bouquets that have more flowers and less greenery! Also, more colors and incorporating dried elements.

Does the Pantone Color of the Year often influence your work?

I would say maybe 30% of my clients follow the Pantone color each year. Some people love the neutrals while others aren’t afraid to have pops of color or bold colors. I confess, I absolutely am thrilled when my brides want bursts of color! There’s nothing like it.

What tips or advice can you give to couples ordering wedding flowers?

I believe a few tips I would give a couple is find out what your budget is and keep in mind for most vendors, there’s a consultation fee for creating custom proposals/quotes for a wedding. Just like a wedding planner, you pay for their service of collecting information and customized quotes. The same can go for a florist. It sometimes takes a few hours to create a custom quote for your wedding. Especially if you have hanging installations, 250+ guests and a large bridal party.

Another thing I would bring to the couples attention is that flowers are a separate cost from labor and tax expenses. I feel like this is the #1 shock to most couples when in reality, on average, designing one wedding can take up to 40 hours total and that can mean needing to raise your budget or cutting back in different areas if you’re wanting that huge ceremony arbor with lush flowers.

To give you an idea, here is a snippet of what we do:

  1. We handle all ordering of your flowers and supplies on time so they can arrive fresh for the day of the wedding. The flowers are either purchased in season or imported from Japan, South America, California or Holland. Also, ensuring the quantity is correct.
  2. Work closely with our suppliers and select each flower and foliage to match the wedding of your dreams.
  3. Quality is huge for me! So I ensure my team stores the flowers in coolers, as well as have multiple designers and multiple vans/vehicles that deliver carefully.
  4. With delivery we also set up and tear down after your wedding so your family doesn’t have to!

Many thanks to Alina for sharing her floral business, Petals & Fields, with us! Head over to her website to view her gallery and contact her about florals for your upcoming wedding. Make sure to also follow her Instagram page to stay up to date on the latest floral trends!

1.) Mixed Metals

The trend of mixing metals is still going strong and continuing to gain popularity throughout the wedding and event industry. Keep an open mind and play around with a variety of place settings – utilizing charger plates, china, glassware and flatware – until you find the setup that feels right. From gold and silver to copper and pewter, the options are endless!

2.) Gold or Black Flatware

As mentioned above, a trend continuing to make an appearance this fall is mixed metals. An easy way to add texture and various metals into your design is through your flatware selection. 5.) Edgy + Moody Color Palettes

Whether you prefer a dramatic black and white table scape or a chic design using bold linen colors, you’ll fall right in line with this edgy and moody color palette trend. Noir Heirloom China paired with Marble Melamine Chargers helps create a mysterious ambiance, while a variety of rich Bengaline Linen colors – like Burgundy or Hunter – can be used to give your table design depth. Make sure to coordinate your table top rentals and florals for a cohesive look that will send all the right vibes.

6.) Swooping Tents

While the classic lines of frame tents will always have their place, sailcloth and pole tents are currently in demand! Their swooping lines provide a fun yet sophisticated tone to your event. Whether it’s day or night, these inviting tents will complement your décor and add their own special touch to your overall design.

7.) Multiple Chair Styles

Mix it up! If you’re looking for a way to spice up your seating arrangements or simply have a hard time deciding on one singular look, why not incorporate multiple chair styles? Maybe you want Square Back Louis Chairs at some tables and Round Back Louis Chairs at others. Or you’re looking for the head table to be defined with our new Willow Chairs for its own special seating. We offer a large inventory of chair styles that are comfortable, stylish and on trend.

Palm Beach Chic Bridal Shower

When we heard one of our very own account managers, Emily Maksimowicz, was going to throw a bridal shower for her sister, we knew her design would not disappoint! Boy, were we right! Below, she tells us all about her inspiration behind this chic beachy theme.

“Being a Maid of Honor can be a daunting task, so when my sister got engaged earlier this year, I went into full planning mode. For her bridal shower, I knew I wanted to incorporate tropical elements since her and her fiancé recently moved to Florida. I decided that the theme would be ‘Palm Beach Chic’ filled with gold flamingos, palm leaves, and lots of stripes.

I love mixing and matching patterns and textures and thought that Liberty Party Rental’s bamboo folding chairs paired perfectly with striped linens alongside palm leaves tucked inside a pink balloon garland. And what tropical party is complete without a monogrammed bar stocked with frozen strawberry margaritas and citrus infused water?

There was a lot of DIY-ing involved filled with gold spray paint and balloon tying, but seeing my vision come to life and my sister’s face when she walked through the door made it all worth it.”

Nashville Rehearsal Dinner With A Georgia Twist

When Madeline and Gardner Heaner were planning their rehearsal dinner and post-toast party to compliment their stunning wedding, they knew Acme Feed & Seed in downtown Nashville would be the perfect place. The Groom’s mother granted their wedding planner, Big Events Wedding, complete creative control to plan these events with only one stipulation: Give homage to their Georgia home and nearby hunting camp where the couple had shared so many wonderful memories.

The event got a taste of home with Georgia peaches in the salad and authentic southern brisket for an entrée. Deer antlers adorned the bar and gnarly wood tablescapes added a hunting-camp-chic flair. With beautiful Fruitwood Farm tables, Tuscan Bentwood chairs, and Silver Beaded Rim Glass chargers from Liberty Party Rental, linens by BBJ Linen, draping by Visual Elements and lighting by Bright Events, Acme Feed and Seed was transformed for the Heaner Rehearsal Dinner. Lastly, the elegant and understated floral arrangements were neutral with pops of peach–again, a nod to the couple’s Georgia roots.

The first night of their memorable wedding weekend was a perfect jumpstart to Madeline and Gardner’s life together. We are so thankful these two allowed us to help make their Georgia vision come true in the heart of downtown Nashville!

3 Tips For Planning a Rehearsal Dinner – from Molly Sohr of Big Events Wedding

  1. Try to choose a design and color scheme that doesn’t take away or clash with the BIG night the next day.
  1. Always keep the bride and groom’s personality in mind and create personal touches!
  1. Choose a menu that is not repetitive of – or too similar to – the wedding meal. Mix up your cuisine for your guests enjoying both evenings with you.
