Palm Beach Chic Bridal Shower

When we heard one of our very own account managers, Emily Maksimowicz, was going to throw a bridal shower for her sister, we knew her design would not disappoint! Boy, were we right! Below, she tells us all about her inspiration behind this chic beachy theme.

“Being a Maid of Honor can be a daunting task, so when my sister got engaged earlier this year, I went into full planning mode. For her bridal shower, I knew I wanted to incorporate tropical elements since her and her fiancé recently moved to Florida. I decided that the theme would be ‘Palm Beach Chic’ filled with gold flamingos, palm leaves, and lots of stripes.

I love mixing and matching patterns and textures and thought that Liberty Party Rental’s bamboo folding chairs paired perfectly with striped linens alongside palm leaves tucked inside a pink balloon garland. And what tropical party is complete without a monogrammed bar stocked with frozen strawberry margaritas and citrus infused water?

There was a lot of DIY-ing involved filled with gold spray paint and balloon tying, but seeing my vision come to life and my sister’s face when she walked through the door made it all worth it.”

Nashville Rehearsal Dinner With A Georgia Twist

When Madeline and Gardner Heaner were planning their rehearsal dinner and post-toast party to compliment their stunning wedding, they knew Acme Feed & Seed in downtown Nashville would be the perfect place. The Groom’s mother granted their wedding planner, Big Events Wedding, complete creative control to plan these events with only one stipulation: Give homage to their Georgia home and nearby hunting camp where the couple had shared so many wonderful memories.

The event got a taste of home with Georgia peaches in the salad and authentic southern brisket for an entrée. Deer antlers adorned the bar and gnarly wood tablescapes added a hunting-camp-chic flair. With beautiful Fruitwood Farm tables, Tuscan Bentwood chairs, and Silver Beaded Rim Glass chargers from Liberty Party Rental, linens by BBJ Linen, draping by Visual Elements and lighting by Bright Events, Acme Feed and Seed was transformed for the Heaner Rehearsal Dinner. Lastly, the elegant and understated floral arrangements were neutral with pops of peach–again, a nod to the couple’s Georgia roots.

The first night of their memorable wedding weekend was a perfect jumpstart to Madeline and Gardner’s life together. We are so thankful these two allowed us to help make their Georgia vision come true in the heart of downtown Nashville!

3 Tips For Planning a Rehearsal Dinner – from Molly Sohr of Big Events Wedding

  1. Try to choose a design and color scheme that doesn’t take away or clash with the BIG night the next day.
  1. Always keep the bride and groom’s personality in mind and create personal touches!
  1. Choose a menu that is not repetitive of – or too similar to – the wedding meal. Mix up your cuisine for your guests enjoying both evenings with you.

March Table Scape – Earthy Spring Green

March is here and Spring is in the air! With St. Patrick’s Day AND Easter falling in March this year, we are prepared for a fun-filled event season! For this month’s table scape, we went with an earthy look using natural materials such as our natural panama linen, walnut wood chargers, macrame elements and even moss place mats! We got the idea from our friends at Ninth & Everett who used moss place mats in a gorgeous styled shoot recently… more on that later! Hanging macrame planters, copper and succulents are all the rage for Spring, so we just HAD to add these decor elements to our design. Plus – we made the hanging planters ourselves! Look out for a DIY tutorial coming soon. 🙂

3 Winter Tablescape Trends

While we were cozying up in our warm blankets and sipping on hot tea with the snow storm last week, we started dreaming up winter tablescapes! Take a look at our top 3 winter table trends:

1) Touches of burgundy have been a huge hit this winter! Styling your centerpieces with objects like candelabras and cranberries rather than your normal floral arrangements is a great way to get creative with your winter tablescape.

(Plus, draping cozy blankets on the backs of guests’ chairs is the perfect way to make your guests feel comfortable!)

2) Mixing metallics is a winter must-have! A great way to do this is through sequin linen (which we now carry!), mercury glass votives and flatware. Silver, gold, copper, rose gold are all great metallics to mix and match to bring out the winter vibes in your next event!

3) Creative and personalized paper decor. Instead of a traditional table runner, hand-written lyrics on butcher paper gives off a creative and romantic feel. Vintage sheet music used as place mats also gives off an elegant feel for your winter wedding. Plus, being in Music City, we are all about using hints of music in your wedding decor!

November Table Scape – Give Thanks

As the weather gets a chill in the air, we turn our fireplaces on and our families gather around the table – we know the holiday spirit is alive and well. But before St. Nick comes down the chimney with glee, we have one very important holiday to celebrate – Thanksgiving! Here at Liberty, we chose a very rustic-meets-modern table scape using our charcoal panama linen, copper chargers and more! The copper and charcoal color scheme mixed with centerpiece greenery is one of our favorite looks for fall. The place card and window backdrop lettering was made possible by our resident calligrapher (and Account Coordinator by day), Emily M.! Take a look at our table inspiration below and have a very Happy Thanksgiving!

Be Grateful. Thankful. Blessed.

September Table Scape

This September, we’re trying to hang on to summer as much as possible by creating a light, crisp, modern table scape for our Green Hills Design Center showroom window! Here’s a word from our Marketing & Design Manager, Alyssa:

“I was inspired by my daughter’s nursery and created a pastel table scape with modern geometric touches mixed with natural wooden elements. The shiny gold centerpieces and majestic napkins created a great contrast against the natural wood chiavari chairs and white panama linen. I also wanted to incorporate a tile place card and these light mint tiles beneath the gorgeous purple calligraphy (created by our own Account Coordinator, Emily M.!) did the trick! I topped off the look with a pastel triangle garland, natural wood coasters and stirrers.”

We loved this look so much, we featured it in our styled shoot at Houston Station (more on that later!). This look would be great for a late summer luncheon or a baby or wedding shower! Take a look:
