February Table Scape – Valentine’s Day Sweetheart Table

Valentine’s Day is right around the corner. If you don’t have plans, there’s still time to rent some tabletop items for your at-home Valentine’s Day party!  This year we chose to mix romance with playfulness in our Valentine’s Day table scape in at our Green Hills Showroom! Our brand new Ivory Rosette Linen is a great way to dress your cake or sweetheart table for two. Mix in some shades of pink (we used our Watermelon and Raspberry Majestic Linen and add a touch of romance with gold tableware accents and Gold Chiavari Chairs. The conversation hearts along the table runner add an element of fun. See more of our Valentine table photos:

3 Winter Tablescape Trends

While we were cozying up in our warm blankets and sipping on hot tea with the snow storm last week, we started dreaming up winter tablescapes! Take a look at our top 3 winter table trends:

1) Touches of burgundy have been a huge hit this winter! Styling your centerpieces with objects like candelabras and cranberries rather than your normal floral arrangements is a great way to get creative with your winter tablescape.

(Plus, draping cozy blankets on the backs of guests’ chairs is the perfect way to make your guests feel comfortable!)

2) Mixing metallics is a winter must-have! A great way to do this is through sequin linen (which we now carry!), mercury glass votives and flatware. Silver, gold, copper, rose gold are all great metallics to mix and match to bring out the winter vibes in your next event!

3) Creative and personalized paper decor. Instead of a traditional table runner, hand-written lyrics on butcher paper gives off a creative and romantic feel. Vintage sheet music used as place mats also gives off an elegant feel for your winter wedding. Plus, being in Music City, we are all about using hints of music in your wedding decor!

December Table Scape: Sequin Winter Wonderland

For this year’s holiday table scape, we opted out of the traditional red and green color palate. Although we love and adore these colors, we went for a glamorous nude, silver and white scheme. Plus, this color scheme translates well for the New Years holiday. Our brand new nude glimmer linen paired perfectly with this theme! We brought in our gunmetal chairs, silver place settings, sparkle pennant banners, vintage sheet music for place mats and DIY bottle brush Christmas tree centerpieces to tie in the rest of the look. (Stay tuned for a DIY post on our bottle brush trees!)

Well, let’s get to it – here’s our sequin winter wonderland!

DIY: Bottle Brush Christmas Trees

diy bottle brush trees

Liberty has been in the holiday spirit for a while now – fulfilling many orders for corporate holiday parties and more! So for our December table scape, we wanted to create a DIY centerpiece to match our new nude glimmer linen. After scouring the internet, we came across these pretties: Ombre Bottle Brush Trees!

anthro trees

Although they are available for purchase, we wanted to try our hand at making them ourselves (and putting our own unique spin on it). Take a look at our step-by-step guide to DIY Bleached Bottle Brush Trees:

Here’s what you’ll need to create the trees:

Assorted Pine Trees (I used these found on Amazon)

Bleach

Fork or Tongs

Big Mixing Bowls

Cookie Sheet

Paper Towels

Colander

Dish Gloves

Apron

Remember – you are working with bleach in this project. Be very careful with your clothes and items around the trees and bleach bowls. Also, please properly dispose of the bleach when you are finished with it. 🙂

1) Fill the mixing bowls with 80% bleach and 20% water.

2) Carefully drop the trees into the mixture one by one with your fork or tongs.

IMG_9055

3) You will then see the bleach mixture start to turn green. Continue to move the tree around in the mixture so all sides have been equally soaked.

IMG_9056

4) Add more trees to the mixture. Let them sit for 3-5 minutes in the solution (use your own discretion on how white you want your trees).

IMG_9057

5) While your trees are soaking in the mixture, line your cookie sheet with paper towels. Once your trees are your desired color, pull them out with your tongs or fork and place them on the cookie sheet to dry.

IMG_9058

6) Once your trees have dried for a few minutes, place them in a colander using the tongs and rinse them under warm water in your sink.

7) Place them on some more paper towels to dry on your counter. I let mine dry overnight and let them dry on an old towel just to make sure it wouldn’t discolor any fabric I set them on.

8) Style them on your mantle, table, or any little nook in your house! Here’s our take:

In the end, we chose not to use the glitter on the trees since our table was very sparkly already. But we may end up re purposing them next year 🙂

We hope you enjoy this festive little project! Show us your DIY Bottle Brush Trees in the comments!

Peace & Joy,

November Table Scape – Give Thanks

As the weather gets a chill in the air, we turn our fireplaces on and our families gather around the table – we know the holiday spirit is alive and well. But before St. Nick comes down the chimney with glee, we have one very important holiday to celebrate – Thanksgiving! Here at Liberty, we chose a very rustic-meets-modern table scape using our charcoal panama linen, copper chargers and more! The copper and charcoal color scheme mixed with centerpiece greenery is one of our favorite looks for fall. The place card and window backdrop lettering was made possible by our resident calligrapher (and Account Coordinator by day), Emily M.! Take a look at our table inspiration below and have a very Happy Thanksgiving!

Be Grateful. Thankful. Blessed.

Dia de los Muertos Theme – October Table Scape

Happy October! For this month’s table we decided on bold and bright colors to go with a Dia de los Muertos theme! We are loving the look of sugar skulls and decided to incorporate this into the decor. With the help of our good friends at Paper Source, we opted for sugar skull banners, centerpieces and our favorite – paper flowers! We topped the modern look off with our Chicago Glasses, Square China, Gunmetal Chairs & more. Check it out!

A Rustic Industrial Fall Styled Shoot – Abigail Bobo Photography – Houston Station

Happy Fall, y’all! Each year we host a styled shoot to feature our new products. This year we styled so many fun table scapes at Houston Station and Abigail Bobo worked her photography magic!

Our rustic industrial table featured our new gunmetal chairs and tea towel napkins. As of late, we’ve been getting many requests for the rustic industrial look for corporate events. It’s a great way to introduce the Nashville culture to out of town guests. Instead of using a traditional table runner, we paired it with a 90″ square black and white check table linen draped diagonally over the table. The Coca-Cola theme for this table blended in seamlessly with the black, white and red decor. Take a look at our design!

September Table Scape

This September, we’re trying to hang on to summer as much as possible by creating a light, crisp, modern table scape for our Green Hills Design Center showroom window! Here’s a word from our Marketing & Design Manager, Alyssa:

“I was inspired by my daughter’s nursery and created a pastel table scape with modern geometric touches mixed with natural wooden elements. The shiny gold centerpieces and majestic napkins created a great contrast against the natural wood chiavari chairs and white panama linen. I also wanted to incorporate a tile place card and these light mint tiles beneath the gorgeous purple calligraphy (created by our own Account Coordinator, Emily M.!) did the trick! I topped off the look with a pastel triangle garland, natural wood coasters and stirrers.”

We loved this look so much, we featured it in our styled shoot at Houston Station (more on that later!). This look would be great for a late summer luncheon or a baby or wedding shower! Take a look:

TBT – A Bright Bridge Building Wedding

Paige and Jon Mark’s wedding last year at The Bridge Building is one for the books! Using a canary yellow and white color scheme, the couple brightened up the sun-shiny space overlooking the Cumberland River and Downtown Nashville. Take a look at some of Taylor Lord‘s incredible wedding photos:

We love how the couple chose our gold stripe linen to give their tables a bit more dimension. Plus the round tables mixed with rectangular tables is a great way to spice up the room layout! All in all, what a gorgeous city view wedding!
