Happy October! For this month’s table we decided on bold and bright colors to go with a Dia de los Muertos theme! We are loving the look of sugar skulls and decided to incorporate this into the decor. With the help of our good friends at Paper Source, we opted for sugar skull banners, centerpieces and our favorite – paper flowers! We topped the modern look off with our Chicago Glasses, Square China, Gunmetal Chairs & more. Check it out!
Back in April, our friends at Houston Station hosted an Open House! It was here that we proudly debuted our new space The Loft at Houston Station! Take a look at our before & after pics!
Here’s what our space looked like before – a very blank canvas!
And here’s how we transformed it!
We chose Ikea and West Elm shelving to display all of our china, chargers, glassware and flatware. Plus, notice the beautiful teacup & flatware chandelier from Hester & Cook!
We were so inspired by a display at West Elm and whimsical design photos on Pinterest that we had to try the chair wall hangings ourselves!
We went with a sage and coral themed farm table mixed with some of our vintage inspired china.
Our miss-matched china display was the perfect backdrop for our 4′ white wooden bar!
The rustic metal door serves as a great focal point for our Radius and Axis lounge furniture!
Rustic wooden ladders were purchased from the Nashville Flea Market as a display for our wide variety of napkins and chair ties!
Loving the chevron pattern shelving against the china display!
You’ll see our initials LPR all over The Loft – including our gold DIY marquee letters!
Barn wood frames with gold burlap and lace completed the look for our flatware display!

Over here at Liberty, we are loving everything gold, shiny, and glittery! When the opportunity came to decorate a display table for an event, we let the glitz and glam loose! How did we do it? By spray painting and glittering bottles gold! Check out our DIY Gold Glitter Bottle Tutorial:
What you’ll need:
Newspaper or Dropcloth
Gold Spray Paint
Empty Jars and Wine Bottles
Spray Glue (we used Elmer’s Spray Adhesive)
Medium to Large Bowl
1) Start by laying down some newspaper and spray paint each bottle. Remember to hold the spray can far away from the bottle to get an even coat. Let them dry.
2) Next, fill the bowl with your gold glitter. Take a bottle and spray it with your adhesive spray and lift it into your glitter bowl. Sprinkle the glitter generously over the entire bottle. You can respray some spots you’ve missed with your adhesive spray and re-glitter. Set aside on newspaper when done.
3) Now, if you want to get fancy with it, tape a paper towel around a bottle and leave a few inches showing at the bottom. Make sure your paper towel line is straight. Spray just the bottom with your adhesive spray then coat with gold glitter. Let dry then remove paper towel.
4) Voila! You now have a fancy collection of gold glitter centerpiece bottles!
Take a look at how we styled it!
